UCEPROTECT now offers whitelisting for their blacklist extortion scam.

UCEPROTECT Whitelist ScamUCEPROTECT, an online spam reporting service, is well known for its attempts to extort payment for delisting IP addresses from its list of offenders, and while no major networks with mail servers managed by a network administrator with half a brain pays attention to scammers like UCEPROTECT, some website owners watching their reputation by subscribing to services like the Mx Toolbox Blacklist might be alarmed to see their IP address blacklisted by UCEPROTECT.

Why Mx Toolbox bothers to list reports provided by UCEPROTECT is questionable, because most experienced network administrators know that UCEPROTECT is nothing more than a backyard scam project.

How UCEPROTECT operates is most questionable, because while it cannot or will not provide any references to spam reports, it purposely targets large networks, claiming that while your dedicated server or VPS may not be spamming, that by being part of a much larger network, you are included because spammers are using that hosting service and your host does nothing about it.

That is how they justify their scam and rest assured they will have all major hosting networks listed periodically just to get attention.

UCEPROTECT is the only spam reporting service that asks to be paid to remove IP addresses from their blacklist. Most spam services delist after 7 days anyway. But UCEPROTECT have developed the SCAM even more. Now they invite you to add your IP address to whitelisted.org and pay about US$90/year to stay off their blacklist. Whitelisted.org is of course another website run by UCEPROTECT.

It is just as well that properly run mail services know that UCEPROTECT is a scam.
